1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PlayTriviaFire ("Service"), operated by PlayTriviaFire ("we", "us", "our") at playtriviafire.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. THE SERVICE

PlayTriviaFire is an online trivia game that uses artificial intelligence (Claude AI by Anthropic) to generate unique trivia questions. Users purchase credits to play game sessions. Each game session consumes one credit and presents the user with multiple-choice trivia questions across selected categories and difficulty levels.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

To use the Service you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users aged 13–17 must have parental or guardian consent.
• Confirm your age during registration by checking the age confirmation box. By doing so, you represent that you are 13 or older and, if under 18, that you have parental consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts found to belong to users under 13.

4. CREDITS AND PAYMENTS

Access to game sessions requires the purchase of credits. Credits are purchased through our payment provider, Stripe.

• One credit entitles you to one complete game session
• Credits are deducted when a game session begins
• Credits do not expire
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
• All purchases are final except as described in our Refund Policy

All prices are displayed in US dollars (USD). We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect credits already purchased.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent the credit system
• Create multiple accounts to abuse any promotions or credits
• Interfere with other users' access to the Service
• Upload or transmit malicious code

6. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

Trivia questions are generated by Claude AI (Anthropic). While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy of all trivia questions. Credits will not be refunded due to perceived inaccuracies in questions unless there is a clear technical failure in question generation.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The PlayTriviaFire name, logo, website design, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent. AI-generated trivia questions are generated for your personal entertainment use only.

8. DISCLAIMERS

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any loss of credits due to technical errors, although we make reasonable efforts to resolve such issues promptly.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayTriviaFire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, you forfeit any remaining credits without refund. If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to violations, we will refund the value of your unused credits.

11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration under United States law. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under local consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by contract.
